Update

After prayerful consideration and advice from Tony's medical team, we have decided as a family not to proceed with chemotherapy treatment. We were not given favorable odds that treatment would be beneficial, and we do not feel Tony is strong enough to handle the potential side effects. Although the tumor does not appear to be growing rapidly, we are seeing evidence of its infiltration. This is not an easy update to post. Our inclination is to protect Tony and the time we have with him, but we are so grateful for all of you and your continued thoughts & prayers and want to share where we are now. We understand the questions that will arise from this post and the truth is we don't have many answers right now. Tony has had some good days and some bad, but we are so thankful that even the bad days do not include pain. We are doing everything we can to ensure he is comfortable. Tony & Patty are consistently surrounded by family right now and we are incredibly blessed by all of the meals. As you know, it is typically Tony doling out the food, so we are humbled by your generosity.

  1. So sorry to hear this news - but happy that the Pusateri family is together during this most trying time. Please give Tony a big hug and kiss from one of his favorite assistants from long, long ago. Thanks Jamie for all your love and compassion and keeping all Tony's "family" informed. I do truly consider myself one of the family.

    With love,
    Mary Stephens
