A New Week

Our family met with the neuro-oncologist this morning and received some encouraging news. The MRI results revealed very minimal growth in the past few weeks! Tony will begin chemotherapy at the end of the week and while we don't know what effect it will have on the mass, Tony's spirits seem to be lifted by the opportunity to do something. We pray that God uses the treatment to do something miraculous. We will continue to update you as he begins treatment, but until then...a glimpse of our weekend.

    Tony, I know you through NAA and had tonsil cancer in 2009-2010 and am cancer free today so I know that prayers work. I know that treatment and prayers can work miracles. I pray for your recovery. God is great!

    Tony,

    My thoughts and prayers are with you. If anyone has the strength, faith, humor and family love and support to take this journey, it is most assuredly you.

    Since I heard the news many memories have flashed through my mind but one just stays there. In a twist of fate, the last time I saw you was at Paul Mitnick's funeral. Your care, compassion and just taking my hand graveside was a kindness so subtle but so appreciated but will never be forgotton.

    Hold your beautiful family close as they do you, take nothing for granted and use that determination that you are known for to fight.

    Tony was the best of the best. He had a wonderful way of making everyone special. He was kind and gracious. Tony like his wonderful family have set the bar so high that many of us will never reach the example of love, kindness and other important areas of life. Tony was one of my heros. I like everyone else will miss Tony greatly. You are in my prayes.
